According to the last Webinar hosted by Wildfire, photos are by far the most engaging piece of content on Facebook.
They compared all 1MM+ posts across the 60,000 pages and that’s what they found.
Typically Photos are:
» Eye catching
» Heavier (in terms of weight assigned within EdgeRank)
» Easier to consume than other media content
The easier, the better!
Clicking on a video on on a link takes more time and fans/visitors seem to be more attracted by something easy. With a photo, users decide within a glance whether they’re interested or not— the high engagement results reflect this simplicity and ease of interaction.
